I like this Saul Bass poster for the movie "Precious" because the hand through the silhouette defines the entire movie. The color in the background gives u a sense of alert behind the black silhouette which can easily give you a feeling of darkness. The hand reaching up tells you that the person is trying to break out of this darkness and reach the light. I like the choice of color for the word precious because the white calms you down and is not overpowering. The picture above can be seen as separate from the word precious or it can be seen as the precious the word is within the hand reaching up through the darkness.

I think this Kill Bill poster by Saul tells it all. Whether you see the movie first or second, everything is on point in this poster, from the sense of action from all the exciting things arranged around on the page. The imagery even gives you the type of feel how the movie is played out. Again, I think his choice of colors give the exact feel or vibe you get from every piece of imagery that you will see in the movie.

Rocky

I like this Rocky poster from Saul just because I knew exactly what it was when I caught a glimpse of it. I simultaneously saw the word Rocky and the oh so great jog up the stairs for that sense of accomplishment. I don't really like his choice of color for the background, It seems like he is very fond of that color but the rest tells it all.
